Coffee

Initially appreciated by the Romans some 2000 years ago, and spotted with a range of various shades, each travertine tile is exceptional. Travertine is one of the most frequently used stones in modern architecture. It is commonly used for façades, wall cladding, and flooring.

They are developed over several thousands of years under earth’s crust. The stone is a crystal form of calcium carbonate, or limestone, deposited by mineral springs and featured by surface pits and voids when initially extracted. These are often filled with resin at source, giving the travertine a much smoother and more refined texture. It’s unique, warm and earthy tones will add a touch of glamour to any home

Honed Finish

A lovely soft feel is achieved by careful surface finishing to create a smooth subtle sheen to the stone. Filled tiles have the voids and natural holes in the stone pre-filled with resin.

Tumbled Edge

If you are looking for a slightly more rustic or natural look tumbled is perfect for you. Tumbled Travertine is frequently left unfilled, meaning that its holes are intact. These holes should be filled with grout during the installation process. Filling the holes not only keeps them from filling up with debris, it helps the stone to maintain its structural integrity.

Chipped Edge

This Travertine tile has the rustic tumbled appearance with unfilled holes, but rather than a sawn edge this tile has a wonderful hand chipped rustic edge.
